Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal data, written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Who we are

Wayfare is a car concierge service based in Singapore, registered under UEN 202638816K. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It follows Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the PDPA).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to do the job you have asked us to do.

We do not collect NRIC numbers, financial account details or payment card details through this website.

Why we use it

We will not use your data for a new purpose that you would not reasonably expect without asking you first.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

We share it only where it is necessary to do what you have asked:

Marketing messages

When you submit the survey we will send you the report you asked for, and we may also send you occasional messages about our services and about cars that match your brief. The survey says so directly above the submit button, so going ahead is how you agree to it.

You can stop these at any time. Reply to any message telling us to stop, or write to concierge@wayfare.sg. We will act on it promptly, you do not need to give a reason, and it will not affect the report or any work we are already doing for you.

Where we would contact you by voice call or SMS on a Singapore number, we check the national Do Not Call Registry first and will not call or text you if your number is listed, unless you have separately given us permission to.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as they are needed for the purposes above, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Buying a car is not a quick decision and people often return months later. If your data is no longer needed for any legal or business purpose, we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Keeping it safe

We limit who can see your data to the people who need it to do the work, and we use reputable providers with access controls on the systems it sits in. No system is completely secure, and we cannot promise otherwise, but we take it seriously and we will tell you if something goes wrong in a way that affects you.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask us to:

Withdrawing consent entirely means we will no longer be able to send your report or act for you on a car search, since we would have nothing to reach you with. We will make that clear before acting on the request.

Contact our Data Protection Officer

Email concierge@wayfare.sg or call +65 9852 2597. We aim to acknowledge requests within three working days and to resolve them within thirty.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may raise it with the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will tell the people it affects directly.
